  14.     HyperCard is a powerful tool that allows you to create stacks in which the scripts of the objects are always accessible (if not compiled or compressed).
  15.     This stack is provided to manipulate in different ways (edit, extract, modify, save,..) the scripts of objects and TEXT resources from a stack. It allows you also to create a report about a stack or a report about HyperCard's environment.
  16.     To do this, Spy uses the possibilities offered by HyperCard and some external commands and functions (see the About of this stack).
  17.     I think it should be used as a tool to study scripts and not to modify them in a way that the author of the stack wouldn't appreciate.

  19.     I hope this stack is bug free but I'm not sure. So to be as prudent as possible, you should always use a copy of Spy and a copy of the stack you want to explore.

  27.     Distribution and copying of Spy are free as long as the package stays complete. You should always find the stack "Spy 3.8.4" and the text files "Spy - Read me!" and "About the dialogs".

  29.     If it's useful for you to modify some parts of this stack you are free to make the changes, but there are some restrictions: the "About Spy..." has not to be changed and a modified version has not to be distributed.

  35. - HyperCard 2.1 or above (this stack doesn't work with HyperCard Player)

  37. - At least 2048Ko allocated to HyperCard for colours

  39. - System 6.0.5 or above and Quick Draw 32 bits (automaticaly with System 7.x)

  41. - a screen in 640x480 is recommended but not necessary

  46.     When you edit a script of a stack, you should never use the menus to close or open another window, because HyperCard doesn't handle it the same way as if you use the keyboard. Only in that case, can the handler that opened the script editor know what happened. If you use the menus, probably you won't automaticaly return to Spy. That's the reason why there is a "Return to Spy" menu.

  48.     You should never try to explore a stack named "Home" that is not your real Home stack because there will be a confusion between the two stacks. A solution is to rename momentarily the second "Home" stack.
